About MerylÂ
Meryl Eriksen is a dynamic keynote speaker, hospitality executive, and leadership strategist who helps organizations build cultures where people feel seen, supported, and inspired to lead with purpose. A native of Skaneateles, New York, Meryl graduated from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and was the first to complete its collaboration degree with the Culinary Institute of America. She combines operational excellence with deep emotional intelligence—making her a powerful voice for the future of leadership.
Before joining Compassionate Leaders Circle, Meryl led people-first teams in luxury hospitality, including over a decade on the senior leadership team at the Inns of Aurora, a resort backed by American Girl founder Pleasant Rowland. There, she launched 11 hospitality concepts, managed $28M in capital investments, and led teams of 150 across seven departments. Her approach blends high standards with high care—developing people, not just processes.
Now, as Chief Compassion Officer at CLC, Meryl brings clarity, warmth, and strategic insight to her facilitation work. She designs and delivers transformative leadership programs for mission-driven companies, helping them unlock performance through psychological safety, empathy, and courageous communication. Meryl is a skilled group leader known for creating safe spaces where people feel comfortable sharing, and she’s a thoughtful speaker on leadership and a welcome guest on purpose-driven podcasts.
Whether speaking to C-suite executives, emerging leaders, or purpose-driven entrepreneurs, Meryl delivers stories, strategies, and tools that are immediately actionable and deeply human. Her keynote topics include leading with compassion, women in leadership, building brave workplace cultures, and aligning purpose with performance.
A Central New York 40 Under 40 honoree and frequent guest lecturer at Cornell and Denver University, Meryl also serves on the boards of Nutrition Education for All and the Skaneateles Education Foundation.
